Inspirational Quote of the Day 9/21/11

"Reliving past trials and tribulations is a drain on your mental resources. Whether an activity itself succeeded or failed, you should make a conscientious effort to learn positive lessons from everything. Don’t allow the outcomes of attempted sales, deals, or employee issues harm your forward momentum or the ability to execute your plan. Your focus should be on getting the targeted outcome from each business situation rather than your emotional responses to difficulties in the process."
- Mike Mann, Make Millions & Make Change! (http://www.makemillions.com/the-book/aspire-to-the-top/be-confident/2/)

At one point my brother had a piece of paper posted in his work cubicle that read, divorce yourself from the outcome. These concepts are extremely important to winning. Winners don't cry about the last penalty no matter how blind the ref. is. Champions don't worry about where they were last year. And successful leaders don't worry about how insignificant they were most of their life.

If you want success, time and confidence are your most important assets. If you allow things that are out of your control effect your confidence and waste hours and hours dwelling on past pains and defeat you will waste time and your talents. Don't do it! It's insidious and will destroy your productivity. Most importantly it will destroy your very self identity. Let it go. Move on. Conquer the future.
