Salt Lake City's Economy Ranks #1

The Salt Lake Tribune reported on Tuesday that Salt Lake City's economy ranked #1 in the nation. Well, sort of. Our increase in employment ranked 27th but our overall productivity ranked #1.

That is a great sign actually. That indicates that Utah companies and hopefully their employees are making more money per worker than any other state in the union, as measured by Gross Metropolitan Product (GMP). Given our already low cost of living Utah provides a high quality of life.

Several companies that I track in the IT field are growing. Some which I have mentioned in recent posts. Our economic outlook is very optimistic. Check out the article here: http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/money/52048262-79/percent-lake-recession-salt.html.csp
